CHARLOTTE, NC – Communities for Comprehensive Immigration Reform invites the community to a Vigil for a Just and Secure America, in observance of the National Day of Action for the Rights of Immigrants.
The event will take place
Date: Monday May 1st, 2006
Place: MARSHAL PARK, CHARLOTTE, NC
Time: 6pm
Latino and non-Latino- can participate and reflect peacefully and conscionably upon the mutual responsibility we share to bring to the surface the numerous complex factors that influence the current immigration debate.
Communities for Comprehensive Immigration Reform, a collaborative group of local Latino organizations and advocates, joined by a growing number of non-Latino supporters, is deeply committed to the process of mutualism and community building within the broader framework of our society, and advocates for Comprehensive Immigration Reform as a necessary tool in an ongoing effort to ensure a just, secure and sustainable future for all people within the boundaries of the U.S., and in every nation affected directly and/or indirectly by these and related policies.
